Florida State Seminoles football, 1947–75

The Florida State Seminoles football teams (1947 to 1975) represented Florida State University in the college football seasons of 1947 through 1975. The teams played their home games at Centennial Field from 1947 to 1949, and afterward at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. There were seven different coaches during this time, starting with Ed Williamson and ending with Darrell Mudra. The next year, 1976, Bobby Bowden became head coach.
